Jeff Reed arrested at Sheetz

Steelers kicker Jeff Reed was arrested early this morning at a Sheetz off of Route 22. Apparently, he was upset that there weren’t any towels to dry his hands in the bathroom.  Per PG:

Pennsylvania State Police reported today that Mr. Reed, 29, was in the restroom of the convenience store on Route 22 in New Alexandria at 2:50 a.m. when he began making loud noises, then “used profane language towards a Sheetz employee stating that there were no towels in the restroom.

“Reed continued using profane language in a loud manner outside the store,” police said. “Reed caused damage to a towel dispenser as he was infuriated at the fact that there were no towels in it.”

Everybody knows that Jeff Reed is a little nuts. This is really no surprise. When I first heard Jeff Reed was arrested, I knew it was probably some drunken act of stoogery, not anything serious.

He obviously knows how to party and go crazy, but he definitely crossed the line here.

Since the Steelers just won the Super Bowl, this will probably be a bigger story than it should. It’s doubtful, howerver, that this will seriously harm Reed’s future with the Steelers in any way. In fact, this will probably only add to the legend of Skippy.

Let this be a lesson to gas station employees everywhere: more paper towels! Now!
